An De Reymaeker is a Tax Lawyer with focus on the area of International Tax Law.

She obtained her Law Degree at the University of Leuven (KUL) (1992) and an additional Master in Tax Law at the University of Brussels (ULB) in 1993.

She started her career in 1993 as a Tax Consultant with Arthur Andersen and became after a few years a Tax Lawyer with Loyens and a member of the Brussels Bar. Since 2001 she is a Tax Lawyer and Partner of the Law Firm Vandendijk & Partners in Brussels.

Her expertise relates to International Tax Law (application of double tax treaties/OECD model tax convention). She is in particularly specialized in advising companies with regard to the tax aspects of international cross-border employment (“Global Mobility”), with focus on expats, compensation and benefits (international stock options and share schemes), international pension plans, termination packages and PE issues (with regard to “tele-working”). She also defends her clients in the framework of administrative and legal tax procedures on tax related issues.

She has been a speaker at many occasion but recently (May 2022) at the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) in Brussels on “Taxation of Cross-border teleworkers : post Covid-19 challenges”.

She is Chair of the Tax & Legal Committee and Employee Tax Subcommittee of AmCham Belgium (American Chamber of Commerce). She worked on different tax position papers in the past years, is engaged in defending the international business community in Belgium and obtained in 2022 the AmChampion Award for “Most engaged small company” from AmCham Belgium.

She is also since more than 20 years a member of IFA Belgium, and was a speaker with regard to the “Reform of the expat tax regime in Belgium” (January 2022).

She writes frequently articles on different actual tax topics and speaks fluently Dutch, French and English.
