Dr.-Ing. Alexandra Pehlken is an excellent raw materials engineer and sustainability expert. From 2014 to 2019 she successfully headed the „Cascade Use“ research group at the University of Oldenburg. Cascade Use  was awarded with the German Raw Material Efficiency Prize 2018 by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy for her IT development RAUPE – „Sustainable IT-supported Recycling of Automotive Parts Evaluator“.  In the same year she received the „Heads of the Future“ award from the BMBF FONA – Research for Sustainable Development. Since October 2015 she has managed the Steinbeis Resource Transfer Center part-time and supports companies in their material efficiency and sustainability. Full-time, she heads the Sustainable Manufacturing Systems working group at the OFFIS Institute for Information Technology.
